We’ve heard it all before: strategy….vision…mission…values…key-messaging….feedback…communication...reviews…appraisals…the list goes on and on, and, hey, all this stuff matters and contributes significantly to the creation of your team culture. The reality is though culture is ultimately shaped by what happens in the in-between and unseen but felt spaces. Culture determines how well you reach your desired destination. Unless you give some intentional thought about how congruent and transparent your environment is, and how it feels to be there, then all the team meetings in the world will fall short. What’s gets in your way becomes THE way.

Taking a real look at your team culture takes bravery. Establishing trust requires vulnerability. Resolving conflict requires courage and humility. For people to be creative and innovative, they need to feel valued and room needs to be made for the contribution they bring. This all needs to be considered and directed towards attending to the results you want.
