Te Ao Māori

Embracing Te Ao Māori (The Māori world) is necessary to create an Aotearoa where all can thrive. That is just truth (even if it’s disputed). Making more room for the Māori world into our ways of being together, promotes harmony, ongoing learning and respect through acknowledging and valuing difference. Growing cultural intelligence in any context in Aotearoa New Zealand needs to honour ‘He Whakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tirene’ (The Declaration of Independence) & Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Investing in this journey will only contribute to a more diverse and culturally rich Aotearoa and onto the world stage. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable to own our personal and living story as a nation - the good, the bad and the ugly.
